Laurel Scott (she/her) was born and raised in Mohkinstsis (Calgary, AB) on the traditional lands of the Niitsítapi, Tsuut’ina, and Iyarhe Nakoda. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts with great distinction majoring in Art Studio at the University of Lethbridge in 2021. She then completed the Documentary Filmmaking Program at Capilano University within the unceded territories of the Xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔt (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Her multidisciplinary art practice revolves around creating work in relation with the land and what it provides. Currently, Scott is based in Sikohkotoki (Lethbridge, AB) working on a Bachelors of Education Degree.
